So you've decided to pursue a career as a dental assisting. Great! Below is a list of colleges and universities in Michigan offering Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting curriculums. Choose the school that works best for you.

Delta College

Flexible open-entry/open-exit program (full-time or part-time) leading to a Certificate and/or Associate Degree. Advanced placement available to those who have passed the Dental Assisting National Board.

Traditional program begins each fall. An advanced placement program, beginning each semester, is available for those dental assistants who have passed the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) CDA exam and are currently employed in a dental office. Program completion leads to a Certificate in Dental Assisting and/or Associate Degree.

Wayne County Community College District

Program starts in the fall. An advanced placement program (PERK) is available for on-the-job trained dental assistants or current CDAs. Up to 20 credits can be earned toward the certificate in dental assisting.
